Tuesday, 4/26 Extended 1st Period; Activity Schedule for US Awards Day

Review 23-1.  Take 23-1 reading check.  Read 23-2.  Discuss Confucius and Lao Tzu.

HW: Review 23-2.

Wednesday, 4/27 Activity Schedule for Band Performance

Complete 23-2 notes.  Read about the Great Wall.

HW: Review 23-1 and 23-2.

      

Thursday, 4/28

Take 23-2 reading check.  Read 23-3.  Write facts about Taiwan and Mongolia.  Begin 23-3 notes.

HW: Be sure 23-3 notes are complete.  Review 23-1, 23-2, and 23-3.

Take 23-3 reading check.  Answer map questions.  Write a letter.  Begin Ch. 23 puzzle.

Monday, 4/11

Label maps of Southeast Asia and India.  Read and discuss 22-1.  You will have a test on 22-1 only on Thursday, 4/14.  

HW: Review 22-1.  Research the Taj Mahal.  Using complete sentences, write eight to ten numbered facts about the Taj Mahal on a sheet of paper headed with your name, the date 4/12/11, and the title Taj Mahal Facts.  Work on visual.  Bring Easter card by Wednesday.  Bring money for the food bank.

Tuesday, 4/12

Turn in facts about the Taj Mahal.  Write notes on 22-1.  Begin Ch. 22 puzzle.

HW: Be sure notes and puzzle are complete.  Review 22-1.  Work on visual.  Be sure you have brought an Easter card by tomorrow.  Bring money for the food bank.

Wednesday, 4/13  Activity Schedule

Complete notes on Hinduism.  Review for tomorrow’s test.  Take Ch. 22 check-up.

Take Ch. 22 test.  It will cover only 22-1.

HW: Complete visual.  You may bring your notes on Mother Teresa to class with you tomorrow.  Tomorrow is the last day to bring money for the food bank.

Turn in visual.  Do in-class writing about Mother Teresa.

HW: On an index card, write a Bible verse that teaches about money--our attitude about it, what we are to do with it, etc.  Be sure to include the reference of the verse.  You will need the verse in class Wednesday, 4/6.  Is your notebook in order?  Bring money for food bank.

FYI:  Please purchase a religious Easter card and bring it to class by Wednesday, 4/13.  We will send our cards to residents of a local nursing home.  If you would like, you may bring more than one card.  Do not seal the envelope or put a stamp on it.
